Job Summary: Ausenco is seeking a Senior Structural Designer for an EPCM project in Chile/Peru, supporting design, optimization, and technical problem-solving in mining and industrial environments. Our teams in Chile and Peru are undergoing continuous growth, and we are currently recruiting Senior Structural Designers to join an EPCM project based in Santiago and Lima offices. **About the Role** * Develop and review project structural drawings and models in SmartPlan 3D. * Collaborate closely with engineering and construction teams to optimize design and ensure field feasibility of the project. * Develop on-site structural solutions, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. * Identify and resolve potential technical issues during the construction phase. * Develop and implement work criteria, standards, procedures, and methods. * Understand, apply, and maintain consistent design standards across projects by adhering to Ausenco’s design standards. * Maintain constant communication with project stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress of activities. * Support the project by collaborating with designers from other disciplines. * Manage assigned task execution timelines effectively and efficiently. * Demonstrate initiative to independently perform routine tasks and use judgment to determine appropriate methods for assigned tasks. * Provide design suggestions and make routine decisions within defined procedures, while understanding when to seek assistance if guidelines are unclear. **About You** * Drafting Technician, Project Designer, or Construction Engineer specializing in Structural Engineering. * **Approximately 8 years of proven experience** in mining and industrial projects, preferably with engineering consulting firms and ideally in construction. * Proven experience using software including **Smart Plant 3D** (mandatory), AutoCAD, and Office. * Ability to work on-site and adapt to project conditions. * Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills. **Why Ausenco?** We support individual growth and aim to enable you to work in a way that leverages your strengths and meets your needs.
