Recognized globally as the primary benchmark for quality and integrity, we have over 95,000 employees and a network of more than 2,400 offices and laboratories worldwide. **Job Description** We are seeking a Chemist A responsible for: **Main Responsibilities:** * Applying approved analytical methodologies * Ensuring analytical results fall within expected ranges regarding accuracy, precision, etc. * Ensuring compliance with quality assurance requirements * Ensuring compliance with risk management and environmental management requirements, incorporating them into daily work routines * Maintaining and using standards within established timeframes * Operating and maintaining EAA, LECO, AUTOMATIC TITRATORS, and DILUTORS equipment * Ensuring correct execution of assigned analytical methods or determinations, including performing verification calculations, safeguarding results and materials under one's responsibility, and recording data within established timeframes * Procuring, ensuring availability of, or preparing necessary materials, equipment, and/or accessories required for laboratory analyses, handling chemical reagents and controlling their quality prior to use * Reporting deviations and/or taking action to resolve contingencies affecting one's own activities or those of the assigned work team * Performing tests with quality, safety, and environmental care, meeting workload requirements within established timeframes * Ensuring and complying with all activities related to sample handling, preparation of reagents and standards, and result integrity according to current procedures * Participating in problem resolution—from contributing to fact investigation to proposing solutions and preventing recurrence of failures * Protecting the integrity of assigned test items by ensuring traceability and recording activities clearly, orderly, and completely in designated documentation * Ensuring compliance with all established hygiene and safety measures, and properly using assigned PPE and work clothing, prioritizing self-care and peer care, identifying and reporting risks and hazards * Validating and/or reporting analytical results upon request from supervisor or direct manager * Strictly adhering to laboratory safety regulations, with emphasis on proper handling of glassware, hazardous substances, and correct storage and disposal of hazardous waste (RILES) **Requirements** * Formal Education: Chemical Engineer, Bachelor of Chemistry, Laboratory Chemist, Chemical Analyst, or related degree * Experience: Minimum 3 years overall, including at least 2 years in minerals laboratories and hydrometallurgical plants * Minimum Required Competencies: * Proficiency in Good Laboratory Practices; knowledge of Quality Standards and analytical techniques/methodologies for minerals * Experience in Atomic Absorption, LECO, AUTOMATIC TITRATORS, and DILUTORS (mandatory) * Residence preferably in Calama, Antofagasta, Arica, or Iquique * Availability to work rotating 7x7 day and night shifts **We Offer** * Professional Development Plan * Birth and Christmas gifts for employees' children * Life insurance effective from date of joining the organization * Special leave entitlements * Benefits through Caja Los Andes and associated agreements * Continuous training
