At AES, we are seeking a Smart Operations Manager. **Role Description:** Lead the operation, integration, and evolution of industrial digital systems (SCADA, SITR, telecommunications, and data platforms), ensuring operational continuity, regulatory compliance (CEN), and value generation for operations through efficient use of technologies and data. Act as a strategic liaison between Operations and Technology, driving digitalization while ensuring the reliability, availability, and resilience of IT/OT infrastructure. **Key Responsibilities:** Operations and Continuity * Ensure the availability and reliability of SCADA, SITR, and remote operations platforms (ROCC). Guarantee adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs/KPIs) and operational availability (e.g., 99.5%). * Lead management of critical incidents, contingencies, and recovery plans (PRS/DRP). Regulatory Compliance (CEN) * Ensure execution of regulatory testing for SCADA/SITR/PRS systems. * Coordinate and lead technical responses to requirements from the National Electrical Coordinator (CEN). * Oversee operational data quality (timestamp, availability, integrity). IT/OT Integration and Projects * Lead the integration of new assets (power plants, BESS, renewables) into the digital platform. * Manage SCADA modernization, OT network, IoT, and data platform projects. * Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (engineering, operations, vendors, EPC contractors). Operational Data Management * Ensure availability and quality of operational data for monitoring and decision-making. * Drive analytics and advanced monitoring platforms (KPIs, dashboards, AI). * Identify improvement opportunities based on operational data analysis. OT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity Management * Oversee OT networks, telecommunications, hosting, and SCADA architecture. * Guarantee compliance with industrial cybersecurity standards. * Ensure infrastructure resilience, redundancy, and continuity. Leadership and Team Management * Lead specialized technical teams (SCADA, networks, IT/OT support). * Manage capabilities, talent development, and performance. * Promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and results orientation. **Requirements:** * Education: Electrical, Electronics, or related Engineering degree * Experience: 8\-12 years in SCADA systems, industrial control or OT telecommunications, power plant or critical industry operations. * IT/OT SCADA/OT/Telecom project management * Experience leading multidisciplinary teams * Experience in the electrical or industrial sector **Minimum Technical Knowledge:** * SCADA, RTU, PLC, ICS * IEC\-104, DNP3, OPC protocols * OT networks and telecommunications * Industrial cybersecurity * Cloud platforms and data management * CEN regulatory framework **Competencies:** * Leadership * Results orientation * Systems thinking * Stakeholder management * Continuous improvement **This position is also open to persons with disabilities, in accordance with Law No. 21\.015 on Labor Inclusion**
