Halt unsafe activities and coordinate preventive controls. **NTI SpA** seeks to hire **Occupational Health and Safety Officers** for operationally demanding projects: * **Cóndores and Parinacota Electrical Substations**, located in the Tarapacá and Arica y Parinacota regions. * **El Abra Mine, Calama**, as part of our permanent contractor team at the plant. We seek professionals with experience in electrical substations, mining, industrial plants, or projects adhering to mining standards—individuals who demonstrate effective on-site presence, rigorous documentation practices, and the authority to halt work when safe conditions are not met. Key Responsibilities: * Lead the project’s preventive management and maintain a permanent on-site presence. * Identify, assess, and control risks associated with work in electrical substations, manlift operations, working at height, surface preparation, coating application, and simultaneous activities. * Develop and manage risk matrices, work procedures, safe job analyses (SJA), permits, safety talks, and preventive records. * Conduct daily verification of area conditions, equipment, tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), and worker documentation. * Coordinate controls for concurrent work, vehicle traffic, mobile equipment, maneuvers, and interferences from other companies. * Monitor compliance with safety distances and restrictions established for work on electrical installations. * Review accreditations, occupational medical examinations, certificates, training courses, and personnel entry documentation. * Conduct inspections, behavioral observations, and follow-up on corrective actions. * Investigate incidents, deviations, and substandard conditions. * Maintain continuous coordination with the contract administrator, supervisors, clients, and operational teams. * Immediately halt any activity when procedures, critical controls, or safety standards are not met. * Authorize resumption of work only after deviations have been corrected and verified. Mandatory Requirements: * Degree as **Occupational Health and Safety Engineer or Technician**. * Valid registration as an Occupational Health and Safety Expert with the health authority. * Valid expert ID card or credential. * Registration resolution issued by the Regional Ministry of Health (SEREMI) and verifiable registration number. * Valid and approved alcohol and drug tests. * Valid and approved physical fitness test for working at height. * Medical fitness compatible with the position. * Proven experience in electrical substations, mining, energy, or high-demand industrial operations. * Experience in on-site risk management and documentary control. * Proficiency in risk matrices, procedures, work permits, safe job analyses (SJA), safety talks, inspections, and incident investigations. * Valid Class B driver’s license. * Willingness to work at any of the following locations: * Cóndores Substation. * Parinacota Substation. * El Abra Mine, Calama. Desirable Requirements: * Valid registration or category as Mining Extractive Industry Occupational Health and Safety Expert issued by SERNAGEOMIN. * Experience with mining standards and critical risk controls. * Knowledge of electrical hazards, proximity work, and energy isolation (lockout/tagout). * Working at Height training course. * Hazardous Substances Handling training course. * Incident Investigation training course. * First Aid and Emergency Response training course. * Experience in worker and contractor company accreditation processes. * Familiarity with document control platforms. * Knowledge of ISO 45001\.
