**In this role, you will have the opportunity to:** • Develop software with direct impact on more than 4 million users in Chile.
• Build applications that process hundreds of millions of pesos daily.
• Develop backend solutions across various MACHBANK areas, collaborating within a highly skilled team using cutting-edge technologies.
• Design robust, efficient, and extensible backend solution architectures.
• Optimize and scale backend applications by identifying and resolving code-level issues.
• Collaborate closely with Product, QA, and other developers to align functional requirements with technical solutions and team challenges.
• Identify bottlenecks and ensure solutions can scale to support high user loads.
• Design and implement unit tests, integration tests, and other test types.
• Write clean, well-structured, and high-quality code to minimize technical debt.
To succeed in this position, you need:
• At least one year of professional experience developing backend systems using technologies such as Node.js, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, etc.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Experience developing REST microservices, preferably using Node.js.
• Experience developing on Cloud Service Providers, preferably AWS services such as Lambda, CloudWatch, and SNS.
• Experience writing unit tests.
• Intermediate-level English reading and writing skills.
• A degree in Computer Engineering or related fields.
• Familiarity with various data structures and knowledge of selecting the most appropriate one for each scenario.

• Containerization: Knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Public speaking: You’ve delivered talks or shared knowledge at events such as meetups.
• Open-source contributions: You contribute code to open-source projects.
