The Intermediate Application Development Programmer Analyst is a mid-level position responsible for participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to the analysis and programming activities of application systems. **Responsibilities:** * Utilize knowledge of application development procedures and concepts, along with basic knowledge in other technical areas, to identify and define necessary system improvements, including the use of scripting tools and code analysis or interpretation. * Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups regarding issues, recommend programming solutions, and install and support client-facing systems. * Apply fundamental programming language knowledge to design specifications. * Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, as well as conduct testing and debugging. * Act as an advisor or mentor to new or junior analysts. * Identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgments to recommend and implement solutions. * Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and precedents. * Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and protecting Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues transparently. **Qualifications:** * 2–5 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry. * Mid-level experience in an application development role. * Demonstrates consistently clear and concise written and verbal communication. * Proven decision-making and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work under pressure and manage delivery deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements. **Education:** * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. * Experience working with **market\-leading technologies** such as **React**, **Node.js**, **Kafka**, and **NoSQL databases**, among others. * Familiar with **CI/CD pipelines** and DevOps practices to enable fast and reliable deployments. * Exposure to **AI\-assisted development tools** and interest in leveraging AI to enhance productivity. * Intermediate **English communication skills**, both written and spoken. * Strong team player, able to collaborate across technical and non\-technical teams. * Effective communicator with a problem\-solving mindset. * Highly motivated to **learn and grow**, with a proactive attitude toward new technologies and methodologies. * Adaptable and resilient in fast\-paced, evolving environments.
