Job Summary: Café Vergara is seeking a kitchen intern to support daily production, mise en place, menu preparation, portioning, labeling, and general kitchen cleanliness and order. Key Highlights: 1. Learning food hygiene and handling Café Vergara seeks a kitchen intern to join the team and support daily production tasks and overall kitchen operations. The internship is intended for students or graduates in gastronomy, culinary arts, nutrition, food services, or related fields—whether from technical-vocational secondary education, CFTs, professional institutes, or higher technical institutes. Main Responsibilities: * Support daily production. * Mise en place. * Support daily menu preparation. * Portioning and labeling of preparations. * Support cleaning, organization, and sanitation of the kitchen area. * Compliance with basic food hygiene and handling standards. * Support general tasks inherent to an active kitchen environment. Requirements: * Must be a student or graduate in gastronomy, culinary arts, nutrition, food services, or a related field. * Must provide internship documentation issued by the educational institution, if applicable. * Must be available for in-person internship in Quilicura. * Responsible, punctual, and eager to learn. * Interest in kitchen work, food production, and food service. Reference Schedule: Monday to Friday, daytime shift, from 07:30 to 16:25 hrs, including a 30-minute lunch break. We Offer: * Monthly internship stipend of $150\.000 for meals and transportation. * Lunch provided during working hours. * Hands-on experience in kitchen operations, production, mise en place, daily menu, portioning, labeling, organization, and hygiene. * Team mentoring throughout the internship process.
