**Core Responsibilities**
* Design, prototype, and test mechanical components for IoT devices, automation equipment, and proof‑of‑concept hardware solutions that complement our software offerings.
* Perform CAD modeling (SolidWorks, AutoCAD Inventor, or Fusion 360\) and generate detailed drawings, Bill of Materials, and tolerancing specifications.
* Conduct finite‑element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations to validate strength, durability, and heat‑dissipation requirements.
* Collaborate with electrical engineers and software developers to integrate sensors, actuators, and control systems into end‑to‑end solutions.
* Oversee rapid‑prototype production using 3D printing, CNC machining, or sheet‑metal fabrication; manage vendor relationships and procurement of mechanical parts.
* Develop and maintain testing procedures, data‑logging rigs, and documentation for prototype validation and compliance.
* Contribute to project planning, estimation, and risk assessment in agile sprints; provide technical input during sprint reviews and retrospectives.
* Ensure designs comply with relevant Chilean standards (NCh) and international safety regulations (ISO, IEC).
* Support field deployments, troubleshoot mechanical failures, and provide on‑site technical assistance when needed.
* Stay updated on emerging manufacturing technologies (additive manufacturing, smart materials) and propose improvements to client solutions.
