Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results\-oriented **Construction Manager** to oversee construction activities for company facilities, technology infrastructure, site\-development initiatives, and related projects.
The successful candidate will coordinate contractors, subcontractors, engineers, suppliers, schedules, budgets, quality standards, and safety requirements to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, on schedule, and within approved budgets.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, coordinate, and oversee construction projects from initiation through completion.
* Develop project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and construction strategies.
* Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
* Monitor construction progress against approved schedules, budgets, and project specifications.
* Review drawings, technical documentation, specifications, and construction plans.
* Manage procurement and delivery of construction materials, equipment, and services.
* Monitor contractor performance, workmanship, productivity, and compliance.
* Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings.
* Ensure construction activities comply with applicable Chilean building, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
* Implement quality\-control procedures and resolve construction deficiencies.
* Identify construction risks, delays, cost overruns, and technical issues and develop corrective actions.
* Monitor project costs, approve work progress where authorized, and support financial reporting.
* Coordinate change orders, variations, claims, and contract\-related matters.
* Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, schedules, and records.
* Coordinate with internal technology, operations, finance, procurement, and management teams.
* Ensure appropriate health and safety practices are implemented across project sites.
* Communicate project status, risks, milestones, and issues to senior management.
* Manage project closeout, inspections, handover, and completion documentation.
* Identify opportunities to improve construction processes, efficiency, and cost management.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in **Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Building Engineering, or a related field**.
* **7\+ years of professional construction experience**, including significant project\-management responsibilities.
* Proven experience managing construction projects from planning through completion.
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
* Experience managing contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and technical consultants.
* Strong understanding of construction safety and quality\-control requirements.
* Excellent project\-management, leadership, and organizational skills.
* Strong negotiation and problem\-solving abilities.
* Proficiency with **Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Excel, AutoCAD, or comparable project/construction\-management tools**.
* Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
* Strong knowledge of project documentation, contracts, change orders, and construction reporting.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet demanding project deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous experience with **commercial, industrial, infrastructure, technology facilities, agricultural facilities, or large\-scale construction projects**.
* Experience working with Chilean construction regulations, permitting processes, and safety requirements.
* Familiarity with Chilean construction standards and industry practices.
* Experience with sustainable construction and energy\-efficient facilities.
* Experience managing technology infrastructure, data\-center, warehouse, or industrial facility projects.
* Knowledge of BIM, construction\-management software, or digital project\-management tools.
* Professional certification in project management or construction management is an advantage.
* PMP or equivalent project\-management certification is a plus.
* Experience managing complex budgets and multiple subcontractors.
* Strong English communication skills are an advantage when working with international suppliers or partners.
