This team is central to our mission, building and maintaining the systems that power accurate and efficient background checks across multiple domains—including criminal, employment, education, and other key sources. As a Software Engineer on the Data Orchestration team, you will work on high-impact projects that directly contribute to the core functionality of Checkr’s background check services. You will be instrumental in improving our routing and search systems, enhancing data manipulation capabilities, and ensuring the reliability and accuracy of our record search systems. **What You’ll Do** * Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient systems for record search. * Optimize algorithms, routing, and search systems to improve the speed and accuracy of background checks. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and enhance search functionalities. * Ensure data integrity and compliance with legal and privacy requirements. * Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making. * Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices within the team. * Troubleshoot complex production issues. * Work closely with Product Managers and other stakeholders to define and implement new features. **What You’ll Bring** * **Advanced English proficiency is mandatory.
