We are looking for a Sling Sewing Machine Operator \- Workshop Assistant to join our production team. What does this challenge entail? Your mission will be to learn and operate heavy industrial sewing machinery for manufacturing high-strength slings, as well as providing comprehensive support across various operational stations in the workshop. We seek someone with initiative who works under direct supervision and reports to the Sling Workshop Supervisor. Your main responsibilities: ? Machine Operation: Operate heavy industrial sewing machinery to join polyester or nylon webbing (we will train you in this!). ? Preparation and Adjustment: Learn to adjust thread tension, change needles, and calibrate the machine according to sling type. ? Quality Control: Visually inspect seams to detect skipped stitches, incorrect tension, or defects. ? Basic Maintenance: Perform cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance on your assigned machine. ? Workbench and Cutting Assistance: Support workbench tasks, including cutting fabrics and webbing to required measurements. ? Workshop Logistics: Actively assist in loading and unloading materials and supplies. ? Organization and Warehouse: Support organization, storage, and inventory control in the sling warehouse. ? Safety: Mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to operational safety standards. ? Timely Reporting: Proactively and immediately report any mechanical failure or critical material defect to the Sling Workshop Supervisor.
