The Kitchen Junior Sous Chef reports directly to the Sous Chef and Executive Chef. **As Junior Sous Chef, you will be responsible for the following duties:** * Supervise and coordinate the kitchen team in the absence of the Sous Chef. * Ensure dishes are prepared and presented according to hotel standards. * Support menu planning and recipe development. * Monitor ingredient inventory and place orders as required. * Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP). Able to conduct training for the team on both culinary techniques and Hygiene (HACCP). * Train and motivate junior kitchen staff. * Collaborate on cost management. * Monitor proper ingredient usage to minimize waste. Possess strong cost-control knowledge and maximum food utilization expertise. * Participate in special events, banquets, and high-volume service. * Support the Sous Chef in supervising daily kitchen operations, ensuring dish quality, hygiene standard compliance, and team efficiency. * Act as a liaison between the cooking team and culinary management. **As Junior Sous Chef, we expect you to have:** * Minimum five years’ prior experience in kitchen supervision. * Ability to efficiently coordinate multiple tasks. * Excellent communication skills. * Efficient problem-solving ability. * High level of interaction required with all team members. * High degree of agility and flexibility. * Ability to present a positive and enthusiastic attitude, along with a high degree of confidentiality. **Our Commitment to You:** * Learning and development.
