Reporting to the Finance Business Partner Manager, the **CAPEX Manager** will be responsible for leading the company’s end-to-end management of the investment portfolio (CAPEX), ensuring accurate economic evaluation, prioritization, planning, control, and monitoring of investment projects—contributing to business value creation and achievement of the organization’s strategic, operational, and financial objectives. This position is based at our Santiago offices on a 5x2 schedule, with occasional site visits. **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Be a courageous safety leader, comply with and champion safety and environmental rules, regulations, critical controls, and procedures. * Provide executive leadership with financial analysis to support informed decision-making regarding planning and funding authorization processes. * Lead short- and long-term investment planning exercises (Budget, Forecast, 3YP, LOA, among others). * Support clients and project implementers in investment project formulation and evaluation. * Promote risk methodologies in investment portfolio management and prioritization, and in project approval/execution. * Monthly physical/financial progress tracking and reporting for the investment portfolio. * Lead the project closure and capitalization process together with implementers and the Accounting team. * Lead and promote training cycles. * Implement project closure reports and post-evaluations. **Requirements** -------------- * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (any specialization) or Commercial Engineering. * Minimum 7 years of total work experience. * Minimum 5 years of experience in mining, energy, or asset-intensive industries. * Proficiency in data analytics tools (Power BI, Power Pivot, Advanced Excel, MAXIMO/SAP PS module, D365, and Ivalua). * Experience in reviewing and evaluating the economic viability of projects. * Experience in investment portfolio planning and control. * Desired: Experience in CAPEX risk assessments. * Desired: Intermediate English proficiency. **About Teck** At Teck, we value diversity.
