Job Summary: Prepare and deliver safe, balanced, and high-quality food while managing inventory and maintaining hygiene, and propose operational improvements in the food service area. Key Responsibilities: 1. Ensure daily delivery of safe and high-quality food. 2. Efficiently manage supplies and equipment. 3. Propose operational improvements in the food service area. Fundación Hogar de Cristo, under Law No. 21.015 promoting the labor inclusion of persons with disabilities, seeks to fill the position of **Food Handler** to work in Castro. **Objective**: To prepare and deliver daily safe, balanced, and high-quality meals to participants and staff receiving food-in-kind services, in accordance with the meal plan established by the Logistics Services Nutritionist. Additionally, the role requires receiving, storing, and appropriately using raw materials; maintaining updated inventory records; and ensuring kitchen space cleanliness and hygiene in compliance with current technical and sanitary guidelines. **Responsibilities**: * Execute the daily delivery of safe food to participants, ensuring that food meets quality standards, sanitary safety requirements, and portion sizes specified in the nutritional meal plan, per guidelines set by the Logistics Services Department. * Manage all supplies and equipment provided by the Foundation, ensuring proper receipt, storage, efficient use, and preservation; maintain updated inventory records; and ensure timely availability of necessary resources for food preparation and delivery. * Propose improvements to the operational functioning of the food service area by identifying optimization opportunities—such as in the food menu, kitchen order and organization, supply receipt schedules, and other processes—to contribute to more efficient, safe, and needs-aligned management at Hogar. * Maintain optimal food delivery by guaranteeing food quality, temperature, presentation, and punctuality in distribution, per standards established by the Logistics Services Department and participants’ nutritional needs. * Efficiently manage assigned material and information resources to achieve goals set by Management and the strategic plans of Fundación de Beneficencia Hogar de Cristo and its affiliates. * Comply with Hogar de Cristo’s ethics and compliance frameworks, and act in accordance with the current Crime Prevention Model developed under Law No. 20.393, safeguarding institutional responsibility. **Requirements**: * Academic qualification: Completed secondary education * Occupational health tests: stool culture, nail bed culture, nasal secretion culture, pharyngeal secretion culture. (Non-exclusive requirement.) * Minimum one year of relevant work experience. **Schedule**: Saturdays and Sundays, 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM (9 hours per week) **Location**: Castro **Contract Type**: Project-based contract ending on November 22, 2026.
