Technical reference for AppSec practices Cybersecurity Engineer – AppSec (South America) PS **HUNTING GROUP** is looking for a **Cybersecurity Engineer – AppSec** to join a regional team based in Chile with focus on South America. This role is part of a **new local structure**, delivering direct impact on the security of the business’s critical applications and maintaining ongoing collaboration with development, architecture, and IT governance teams. The position participates in strategic initiatives related to **application security, integrations, compliance, and hybrid environments**, serving as the technical reference for AppSec practices. Main Responsibilities * Implement and operate **cybersecurity controls for web applications, APIs, and mobile apps**, in on\-premise and cloud environments. * Actively participate in **DevSecOps** initiatives, identity and access management, and security governance. * Execute secure configurations and hardening on platforms such as **SAP, xStore, PowerBI, DWH, BI, Datalake, and analytics tools**. * Identify, analyze, and mitigate **vulnerabilities**, supporting security testing and audit processes. * Ensure compliance with frameworks and standards including **OWASP, PCI SSF, NIST SSDF, SANS Top 25, ISO 27001, and GDPR**. * Collect evidence, manage exceptions, validate compliance, and support internal and external audit processes. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, promoting secure development best practices. Technical Requirements (mostly mandatory) * **Minimum 3 years’ experience** in cybersecurity roles (advanced junior profile) * **+3 years implementing cybersecurity controls** and **+5 years developing secure applications**. * Experience in **DevSecOps, vulnerability management, secure access, ZTNA, logging, and monitoring**. * Solid knowledge of **hybrid environments** (on\-premise \+ SaaS \+ PaaS) and secure integrations. * Proficiency with tools and technologies such as **WAF, SAST/DAST, API Gateway, SIEM, ZTNA**. * Degree in **Computer Engineering or related field**. * Regional experience in South America: **desirable, not mandatory**. * No mandatory certifications required. Work Modality and Conditions * **Hybrid modality** (2 days per week onsite). * Working hours: * Monday to Thursday: **08:30 to 18:00 hrs** * Friday: **08:30 to 14:00 hrs** * **Estimated start date:** second half of February.
