At Grupo Colas, we are seeking a Plant Operator to join our team.
**Your primary objective will be:**
To operate and maintain plant equipment and facilities, ensuring their proper functioning and optimization. This position is essential to guarantee production, operational continuity, and product or service quality, as well as compliance with commercial sales programs for customers.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Operate, monitor, and control production processes, ensuring adherence to the production plan and quality standards.
* Inspect equipment and facilities, identifying and correcting failures to ensure operational continuity.
* Carry out basic preventive maintenance and collaborate on continuous improvement of processes and work methods.
* Conduct sampling, quality controls, and analysis during the production process.
* Manage loading, unloading, transfer, and dispatch of products, including issuance and review of associated documentation.
* Operate and maintain thermal fluid boilers, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
* Control inventories of raw materials, fuels, spare parts, and supplies, maintaining up-to-date records.
* Maintain order, cleanliness, and good condition of equipment and work areas under your responsibility.
* Comply with and promote safety, occupational health, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and internal company procedures.
* Actively participate in training sessions, meetings, and technical development activities related to the business.
Job Requirements
**Education:**
* Completed secondary education from a technical industrial high school,
* Industrial technician qualification preferred.
**Experience:**
* Minimum one year of experience in maintenance or production plants, and knowledge of laboratory work.
* Experience in industrial process plants / Mechanical workshops / Metal-mechanical / Industrial assembly / Chemical industry.
Knowledge and Requirements
* Knowledge of chemical plant operations and chemical substance storage.
* Knowledge of asphalt product manufacturing.
* Knowledge of regulations related to health, safety, and environment.
* DSN°10 Thermal Fluid Boiler Operator Credential.
* Class D Driver’s License (Forklift Operator).
* Basic knowledge of Industrial Mechanics, Hydraulics, and Welding.
* Knowledge of laboratory testing procedures per manual.
