Position Summary: We are seeking an Agricultural Engineer – Harvest Supervisor to plan, coordinate, and oversee harvest operations, ensuring quality and traceability. Key Responsibilities: 1. Plan harvest dates and volumes based on fruit maturity and weather conditions. 2. Supervise field crews and ensure proper cutting and handling techniques. 3. Conduct field quality control and audit supplier harvests. **HARVEST SUPERVISOR** * Work location: Ovalle / Monte Patria, Coquimbo Region * Position type: Full-time, On-site (field work) * Contract type: Fixed-term **DESCRIPTION** Comsat Fruit is seeking an Agricultural Engineer – Harvest Supervisor responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing harvest operations in company-owned orchards and those of allied producers. This role ensures fruit is harvested at the optimal time, under strict quality standards, with minimal losses and full traceability from tree to collection center. **RESPONSIBILITIES** * Plan harvest dates and volumes based on fruit maturity, weather conditions, and operational capacity. * Supervise field crews to ensure proper cutting and handling techniques. * Conduct field quality control (size, color, maturity, firmness, and health). * Audit harvests at supplier farms and verify compliance with protocols. * Coordinate transportation and arrival times at collection centers (cold chain maintenance). * Manage quality incidents, mechanical damage, or sanitary issues. * Issue daily harvest reports including volumes, quality metrics, and incidents. **REQUIREMENTS** * Graduated Agricultural Engineer or Agricultural Technician with proven experience. * Minimum 5 years of experience in harvesting fruit for export (citrus preferred). * Experience leading field teams and supervising harvest crews. * Knowledge of quality control, post-harvest handling, and agricultural traceability. * Ability to work under variable weather conditions and extended field shifts. * Basic to intermediate Excel and digital record-keeping skills. * Valid Class B driver’s license (mandatory). **HOW TO APPLY?** Attach your CV to this posting and send us an internal message to schedule an interview. *Comsat Fruit – Quality from the origin.* Position type: Contract-based Contract duration: 3 months
