This is your opportunity to make an impact and rise above the possible. **Job posting end date:** 06/26/2026 JOB OBJECTIVE / (JOB STATEMENT) Manage and execute specialized technical procurement processes for industrial plant maintenance (rubber, mining, and related industries), applying mechanical engineering knowledge to interpret requirements, validate technical specifications, evaluate suppliers, and ensure timely supply of spare parts, maintenance consumables, and services—guaranteeing the company’s competitiveness and operational continuity. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage technical procurement of spare parts, mechanical components, maintenance consumables, and specialized services for rubber and mining plants, interpreting and validating technical specifications from their origin. Provide technical advisory support to the maintenance department in selecting critical materials, equipment, and spare parts, ensuring functional equivalency and compliance with quality standards required by operations, seeking optimal solutions for maintenance processes. Maintain full traceability of purchase orders, quotations, and maintenance-related contracts, ensuring timely material availability to prevent unplanned plant shutdowns. Actively participate in identifying and qualifying specialized suppliers for components used in rubber plants, conveyor belts, grinding systems, and mining process equipment. Be aware of and comply with Quality, Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental standards as defined in internal documentation, legal requirements, and organizational mandates. With respect to tasks in which the employee is involved, comply with procedures required for accreditation, certification, and maintenance of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OSHAS 18001, and Ch3262 (Gender Equality and Work-Life-Family-Personal Balance) standards. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS / (RELATIONSHIPS) **Supervises:** N/A **Reports to:** Purchasing Manufactory Team Leader Internal interfaces: Maintenance Department, Operations, Engineering, Planning, and Logistics. POSITION SPECIFICATION TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS / (QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE) **Education:** (Required degree) Mechanical Engineer, Industrial Civil Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Higher Technical Degree in Industrial Mechanics, or equivalent discipline; or any other higher education professional degree. **Experience:** Minimum 3 years in industrial maintenance or operations (mechanical, rubber plants, mining, or extensive machinery operation), and at least 1 year in technical procurement or supply functions. **Training:** (Expected knowledge, non-exclusive): Computer skills, intermediate-to-advanced Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with digital management tools. SAP MM (Materials Management) and PM (Plant Maintenance) modules. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, technical datasheets, and industrial equipment manuals. Knowledge of mechanical components (bearings, seals, belts, gear reducers, hydraulic/pneumatic systems). Familiarity with industrial rubber materials and their applications in mining. **Other Requirements:** English (non-exclusive) **NOTE 1:** If formal technical training cannot be verified, Metso validates the candidate’s practical experience.
