Application of engineering and architecture practices (Tech Rules). **Job Description** ---------------------- Develop and propose backend solutions in agile teams for high-value software products within the Falabella Group. * Collaborate with cell members on planning, scope definition, design, development, and testing of software, aiming to deliver new product capabilities through continuous delivery to production. * Collaborate with product and backend design teams to achieve optimal software solutions and optimize the development process. * Apply engineering and architecture practices (Tech Rules) across all developments to build technically high-quality products that are easy to maintain and extend over time. * Design and develop documentation to help third parties understand the software work performed (e.g., diagrams, pseudocode), representing the sequence of activities for both new and existing processes and systems. * Act as a liaison with offshore teams and clients to resolve technical dependencies, issues, and risks. * Analyze, propose, and implement production issue solutions based on industry best practices, enabling continuous improvement and ongoing support for products built by cells, as well as rapid response to potential production failures. * Develop proof-of-concept projects. What Do You Need to Apply? * More than 4 years of Java development experience, with solid knowledge of Java EE and hands-on experience with recent Java versions (e.g., Java 17 or later). * Experience with microservice architectures and designing distributed systems. * Experience with frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, and JPA. * Proficiency in SQL and database administration (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL). * Strong knowledge of web technologies (e.g., RESTful APIs, JSON, XML). * Practical experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes). * Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools and practices, such as Jenkins and GitLab CI. * Experience with publish-subscribe (Pub/Sub) messaging systems. * Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Desirable Skills * Experience with graph databases (Neo4j). * Experience with cloud platforms (GCP). * Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools. * Basic understanding or hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), such as GPT, Gemini, Claude, or Microsoft Copilot. * Experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Vertex AI, Claude, or Copilot) into backend systems. * Familiarity with embeddings, vector databases, or semantic search concepts. * Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures or frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex. **Candidate Requirements** -------------------------- * Required: Degree in Computer Science, Technical Degree in Informatics, or Degree in Electronics Engineering. * Preferred: Backend-focused courses or bootcamps. * Advanced proficiency in Java EE (mandatory). * Advanced proficiency in SQL (mandatory). * Advanced proficiency in Git (mandatory). * Intermediate-to-advanced English proficiency, both conversational and written (mandatory). * Experience with messaging systems (Pub/Sub).
