We consider inclusion and diversity fundamental to meeting present and future challenges******.*** At ARAUCO, we are seeking talent to join the Contracts Submanagement as a **Materials Procurement Engineer**, with a background in Industrial Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Commercial Engineering, or related fields, to work at the Central Forestry Workshop in Chillán. The **purpose of the position** is to manage and coordinate the procurement process for materials and supplies required for company operations, ensuring cost optimization, product quality, and adherence to established timelines. **Main Responsibilities:** * Plan and execute procurement strategies for materials according to assigned category. * Negotiate with suppliers to obtain optimal conditions regarding price, delivery schedule, and quality (Tendering/Quotation). * Manage inventory and ensure stock levels are adequate for production or ongoing projects. * Conduct market research to identify new supply sources and evaluate supplier performance. * Monitor and control procurement budgets, seeking cost optimization without compromising quality. * Ensure compliance with internal regulations and quality standards for procured materials. * Coordinate with production, logistics, and finance departments to fulfill material requirements. * Prepare and maintain a register of suppliers, products, and purchases made. **Requirements:** * Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Commercial Engineering, or related fields (Mandatory). * Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement within manufacturing, construction, or retail industries (Mandatory). * SAP proficiency (Mandatory). * Valid Class B driver’s license (Mandatory). * Intermediate English level (Desirable). * Availability to work in Chillán. ***At ARAUCO, we work daily to develop renewable forest-based products that improve people’s lives—a mission that challenges us to build committed, enthusiastic, and creative teams.
