At Grupo Falabella, we are looking for our next Back End Software Engineer, based in Santiago, Chile. We are Falabella — ONE diverse team of over 100,000 collaborators, composed of leading brands: Falabella Retail, Sodimac, Banco Falabella, Seguros Falabella, Tottus, Mallplaza, and Open Plaza. Today, we operate in 7 Latin American countries, plus offices in China and India. What is the main objective of this role? Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend solutions in on-premise and cloud environments, ensuring quality and performance. What will you do on a day-to-day basis? * Develop and maintain backend applications using Java / Spring * Implement and optimize database processes in Oracle 12c (on-premise) and PostgreSQL (cloud). * Design and integrate messaging and asynchronous processing services using Kafka / GCP Pub/Sub * Participate in designing hybrid architectures (on-premise and cloud), ensuring scalability and resilience. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure software quality through testing, code reviews, and best practices. * Monitor and optimize application and service performance.
