Our Mining and Infrastructure business unit seeks to hire a **Lead Engineer\-Team Leader** for its **Electrical** discipline.
**Primary Responsibility**
Manage the Electrical discipline’s workload and allocate resources across proposals and projects. This role carries organizational management responsibilities related to the overall development and performance of the Electrical area.
**Specific Responsibilities**
* Establish and maintain effective relationships with external and internal clients: project managers and discipline leads.
* Manage the area’s workload and allocate resources to proposals and projects within the area.
* Lead the Electrical team in alignment with GHD’s values, objectives, and goals.
* Promote technical development and learning among team members.
* Conduct the annual performance evaluation process and follow-up for the area within timelines established by Management.
* Approve timesheets for direct reports, adhering to company-defined deadlines; manage absences, vacations, and leave requests per GHD Chile’s internal policies and regulations.
* Ensure the team has necessary materials and resources to deliver quality services.
* Promote safety for team members.
* Assign discipline leads to proposals and projects within the area.
* Assign each discipline lead their respective team to execute projects, as well as take responsibility for recruiting new professionals if required by projects.
* Build effective relationships with other area leaders, BGLs, support staff (People, Finance, IT, Marketing, and other key personnel), market leaders, and technical leaders.
* Achieve economic targets for the group regarding utilization.
* Ensure use of and compliance with GHD Systems and Procedures.
* Ensure team participation in and compliance with GHD internal processes: Check\-in, HSE, quality audits, system trainings, change management, etc.
* Actively participate in meetings defined by Management and internal clients, maintaining active commitment to company guidelines.
Collaborate with the discipline lead or specialists to ensure technical robustness of work produced by the team.

**Requirements**
* Professional degree in Civil Electrical or Electronics Engineering
* Minimum 15 years of general experience and 10 years of specific experience as a discipline leader
* Experience in industrial sectors, preferably engineering consulting firms and mining projects
