Anglo American is re\-imagining mining to improve people's lives. **Job Description** **PURPOSE** The Execution Specialist plays a crucial role in the operational scope of the **Las Tórtolas Tailings** portfolio projects, ensuring that defined plans and strategies are accurately implemented on site. This professional acts as the execution arm of the Project Superintendent, coordinating on-site activities, managing technical and human resources, and ensuring all aspects of on-site project execution comply with established standards. Their role is vital to transforming plans into reality, ensuring compliance with safety, timelines, budgets, and technical specifications. The primary objective of the Execution Specialist is to deliver assigned projects within the tailings infrastructure domain, translating planned studies into executed actions through concrete, tangible on-site results. This role demands a practical approach, problem-solving skills, and effective communication to coordinate teams, manage resources, and overcome challenges arising during project implementation. **On-site Work \- 5x2 Shift at Las Tórtolas** **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** **Health and Safety**: * Maintain constant on-site vigilance to ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations, actively promoting safe work practices among all workers on site. * Provide regular training and raise awareness regarding the importance of workplace safety, ensuring all personnel are adequately trained to perform their tasks safely. **Performance and Execution**: * On-site Supervision: Maintain constant and active presence at the worksite (Las Tórtolas Dam) to supervise operations, ensuring adherence to plans and compliance with quality standards. * Process Verification: Ensure all processes are executed correctly and efficiently, intervening directly when necessary to correct or improve execution. * Progress Monitoring: Use tools and systems to monitor project progress in real time, rapidly identifying any deviations from the plan and taking immediate corrective action. * Daily and Weekly Planning: Organize and coordinate daily and weekly project activities, ensuring all teams are synchronized and working toward shared objectives. * Incident Management: Manage any incidents occurring on site, ensuring they are addressed safely and efficiently, and implementing measures to prevent similar future incidents. * Team Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with all team members, providing clear guidance and direction, and fostering a positive, collaborative work environment. * Contract Administration: Administer assigned contracts, ensuring the owner’s team timely approves quantities of work according to quality, performance, and schedule requirements. **Qualifications** **Qualifications/Certifications**: * Engineer in disciplines related to the following fields**:** Process, Civil/Hydraulic, Industrial, Construction, Mechanical, or similar. * Demonstrated leadership experience managing multidisciplinary engineering and study teams in the mining sector or in engineering firms serving the mining industry. * Postgraduate studies in a related field—engineering, projects, or management—are desirable. * Ten years’ experience in similar roles for construction projects and extensive pipeline alignment management. **Interpersonal Skills** Self-awareness * Reflects and learns, seeks feedback, and identifies improvement opportunities based on personalized or group interactions. * Recognizes and accepts that organizational interests and needs supersede individual ones, and can manage associated conflict or stress.
