Regarding gender equity, we aim to achieve 35% female representation by 2027 and generate equal opportunities for all individuals, as we firmly believe in the value of diverse teams (this position falls under Law 21\.015, which promotes the inclusion of persons with disabilities). **We invite you to join the best place to develop your talents!** **Job Purpose:** Comprehensively lead, manage, and coordinate electrical, telecommunications, automation, network, and commissioning processes for the Underground Mine Construction Management’s project portfolios, ensuring compliance with—and enforcement of—policies, regulations, and procedures established by the Division and the Corporation related to safety, occupational health, environment, and diversity and inclusion. **Main Responsibilities** * Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on medium- and high-voltage electrical systems. * Protection Systems: Ensure proper operation, calibration, and adjustment of electrical protection systems in substations and production processes. * Supervise and maintain electrical distribution networks, transformers, and mobile electrical equipment inside tunnels and external infrastructure in Injection and Extraction tunnels. * Evaluate and perform maintenance on automatic control systems, CCTV security systems, marine route traffic lights, fiber-optic networks, and communication equipment from collaborating companies. * Guarantee strict compliance with Occupational Safety and Health regulations, critical in confined environments, and with Supreme Decree No. 132 (Mining Safety Regulation) and the RIC Regulation (Regulation on Consumer Installations) issued by the Superintendency of Electricity and Fuels (SEC). * Supervise the commissioning of systems and equipment related to underground mining (substations, ventilation fans, air conditioning units, pressurization systems, fire suppression systems, among others) **Application Requirements** * Degree in Engineering (minimum duration of 10 semesters) or Civil Engineering specializing in Electricity or Industrial Electrical Engineering. * Minimum of 5 years of work experience in electricity within the mining industry. * At least 3 years of experience in underground mining: Power Electrical Systems – low and medium voltage\-, communication networks, instrumentation and control, commissioning). * Valid Class B driver’s license. * Health compatible with the position **Desirable Qualifications** * Postgraduate degree and/or specialization in electrical maintenance or project management. * Minimum of 2 years of experience performing leadership functions with collaborating companies. * SEC Type A license. **Offered Conditions:** * Contract type: Indefinite-term. * Contractual position: Engineer. * Work location: Chuquicamata Division. * Work schedule: 7x7 day shift only. * Number of vacancies: 01 **Application Deadline: Thursday, May 14, 2026** Application closing time: 23:59 hrs. “I hereby declare that I am fully aware of the conditions, according to Codelco’s regulations, that may constitute an incompatibility for holding the position to which I am applying and, consequently, affect my continuity in the selection process.
