Be part of an industry-leading company **At AFP Habitat**, we are looking for our next **Database Administrator Engineer** to join the **Information Technology Management Department.** Your primary responsibility will be to comprehensively administer the company's databases, defining policies, standards, and configuration guidelines for database engine security and backup, and leading performance analysis of those engines and the processes running on them, to ensure the availability, integrity, and operational continuity of the business's critical information, promoting continuous improvements that optimize efficiency and effectiveness of its use. **Your main responsibilities will include:** * Comprehensively administer the company's resident databases and servers, executing preventive and corrective actions in response to contingencies and critical incidents, meeting defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs). * Define, implement, and maintain up-to-date configuration parameters, security policies, and standards for database engines (installation, updates, patching, and hardening). * Analyze processes with performance issues, manage incident reporting and resolution, and train and support DBOs (Database Operators) in their daily tasks. * Design, execute, and validate the company's database backup and disaster recovery policies. * Lead and coordinate the database administration team, communicating departmental objectives and activities, identifying training needs, and providing performance feedback. **What are we looking for?** * Degree in Computer Science Engineering, Informatics Engineering, or equivalent professional qualification * Administration of database engines (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or others) * Application servers and UNIX/Linux operating systems * PL/SQL / T\-SQL programming * Intermediate-level technical English **Because you matter to us, Habitat offers you the following benefits:** * Welfare Corporation (Worker Savings – Medical Reimbursement / Dependents Coverage, and more) * Catastrophic Insurance with 100% company coverage * Bonuses and allowances * Join an industry-leading company * And more **Join one of the best companies to work for, according to Great Place To Work Chile!**
