Position Overview We are seeking a skilled **Data Engineer** to join our team and help build, maintain, and improve reliable data infrastructure that supports business operations and decision\-making. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing data pipelines, integrating information from multiple systems, maintaining data quality, and preparing scalable data solutions. This role will work closely with technology, finance, operations, risk, and business teams to ensure that accurate and accessible data is available when needed. Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes. * Collect and integrate data from internal applications, databases, APIs, and external sources. * Build and maintain reliable data models, warehouses, and data processing workflows. * Develop automated processes for data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading. * Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot performance, reliability, and data\-quality issues. * Implement data\-quality checks and help ensure the accuracy and consistency of business data. * Optimize SQL queries, databases, and data\-processing workflows. * Collaborate with analysts, software engineers, finance, operations, and business teams to understand data requirements. * Support reporting, analytics, and business\-intelligence initiatives. * Document data architecture, pipelines, processes, and technical procedures. * Apply appropriate security and access controls when working with confidential business information. * Identify opportunities to improve data infrastructure, automation, and operational efficiency. Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in **Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Statistics**, or a related field. * Proven experience in data engineering, database development, ETL, or a similar technical role. * Strong proficiency in **SQL** and relational databases. * Programming experience with **Python**, Java, Scala, or another relevant language. * Hands\-on experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines. * Understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and database architecture. * Experience working with APIs and integrating data from multiple systems. * Strong problem\-solving and analytical skills. * Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data quality. * Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non\-technical stakeholders. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional environment. Preferred Qualifications * Experience with cloud platforms such as **AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud**. * Familiarity with technologies such as Apache Spark, Airflow, Kafka, dbt, or similar data\-engineering tools. * Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Azure Synapse. * Experience with Docker and CI/CD practices. * Knowledge of data governance, security, and privacy principles. * Experience working with **financial services, insurance, construction, guarantees, risk, or corporate data** is an advantage. * Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other business\-intelligence platforms. * Strong English communication skills are an advantage.
