Join us as a BACKEND IA**!** ### ******Role Purpose** Lead the backend development of services and APIs that expose and integrate AI capabilities with the bank’s systems and data pipelines, ensuring architecture, security, performance, and best practices for AI component industrialization and governance. **** **Responsibilities and Authorities** ### **Core Functions** * Lead the design and implementation of **backend services and APIs** that expose AI capabilities (models, agents, skills) to other bank platforms. * Define the **integration architecture** between AI components and the bank’s core systems, data pipelines, and existing platforms. * Establish and enforce **security standards** in API and service design (authentication, authorization, encryption, protection of sensitive data). * Optimize the **performance and scalability** of backend services delivering AI models and agents in production (latency, throughput, resource utilization). * Design **industrialization processes** for AI components: packaging, versioning, deployment, and lifecycle management of AI services in production. * Define and implement **technical governance mechanisms** for AI components (version control, API contracts, access policies, traceability). * Collaborate with AI/Data Science teams to transition models and agents from development to robust, reliable backend services. * Evaluate and select appropriate **backend technologies and architectural patterns** (microservices, event\-driven, synchronous/asynchronous APIs) for each AI use case. ### **Responsibilities** * Ensure AI backend services comply with the **security, resilience, and availability standards** required in a banking environment. * Guarantee **code and architectural quality** through technical reviews (code/design reviews) of services developed by the team. * Establish best practices for **CI/CD, automated testing, and observability** for AI services in production. * Define and implement **clear, versioned API contracts**, facilitating integration and reuse by other teams. * Coordinate with Risk, Security, and Compliance to validate AI components prior to industrialization. * Monitor production performance of backend services, managing incidents and proposing continuous improvements. * Document architecture, technical decisions, and integration standards for adoption by other bank teams. * Mentor backend engineers on developing robust, AI-oriented services. **Requirements and Qualifications** ### **Technical Requirements** **Academic Background** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. * Preferred: specialization in software architecture, distributed systems, or applied AI. **Experience** * 5–7\+ years of backend development experience, including at least 2–3 years integrating or exposing AI/ML capabilities in production. * Prior experience in banking, financial, or highly regulated industries (preferred but not mandatory). * Experience leading the design of highly available and scalable backend architectures. **Technical Knowledge** * Backend programming languages: Python, Java, Go, or similar (advanced proficiency in at least one). * Design and development of **REST/gRPC APIs**, synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns (message queues, events). * **Microservices architectures** and containerized deployment (Docker, Kubernetes). * Integration with AI platforms: model serving (e.g., model serving frameworks), LLM APIs, agent orchestrators. * Relational and non-relational databases; knowledge of vector databases for AI use cases. * Backend application security: OAuth/OIDC, secret management, encryption of data in transit and at rest. * Observability: structured logging, metrics, distributed tracing (e.g., OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalents). * CI/CD and DevOps practices applied to AI services (deployment pipelines, automated testing, infrastructure as code). * Familiarity with **data and model governance** in regulated environments (versioning, traceability, auditability). **Additional Information** Stefanini Benefits Looking for a place where your ideas shine?
