Job Summary
**Belco Chocolates \& Food Services Chile SpA** is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and quality-focused ***Production Packaging Assistant*** to join our food production team in Temuco. As a Production Packaging Assistant, you will support the preparation, packaging, labeling, inspection, counting, and organization of approved chocolate, confectionery, and other food products. You will work closely with production, packaging, warehouse, quality, food safety, inventory, and operations staff to ensure finished products are packaged correctly, handled hygienically, properly identified, and prepared for storage or shipment per established procedures. This position is ideal for individuals seeking their first job, recent graduates, and those with limited work experience who are interested in food production, packaging, manufacturing, confectionery, warehouse operations, quality control, or food services.
What You'll Do
Support daily food production and packaging activities.
Assist with packaging chocolate and confectionery.
Prepare approved packaging materials prior to production.
Package finished products according to established specifications.
Place products into containers, boxes, wrappers, trays, or other approved packaging.
Assist with manual and semi-automated packaging processes.
Support basic packaging line activities.
Inspect packaging for visible damage or defects.
Verify products are correctly packaged.
Accurately count packaged products.
Verify basic product quantities.
Assist with product weighing when required.
Apply approved product labels.
Verify label placement and legibility.
Verify approved batch, lot, or production information.
Assist with expiration date checks.
Support basic visual quality inspections.
Identify damaged, improperly packaged, or non-conforming products.
Segregate products requiring additional quality review.
Report packaging defects to relevant personnel.
Assist with box preparation and sealing.
Prepare finished products for storage or shipment.
Organize packaged products onto pallets or authorized storage areas.
Assist with routine movement of packaging materials.
Maintain orderly production and packaging workstations.
Follow established hygiene and sanitation procedures.
Keep food-contact and packaging areas clean per instructions.
Assist with routine cleaning between production activities.
Comply with handwashing and personal hygiene requirements.
Use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Follow allergen control procedures where applicable.
Assist in preventing cross-contamination.
Follow food safety and traceability procedures.
Assist with packaging material inventory counts.
Report shortages of boxes, labels, wrappers, containers, or other materials.
Maintain basic packaging and production records.
Assist with daily production counts.
Support recording of waste and damaged products.
Comply with occupational health and safety requirements.
Support continuous improvement of production and packaging processes.
Requirements
Completed secondary education or equivalent qualification.
0\-1 year of relevant experience.
Prior experience in food production is not mandatory.
Applicants beginning their careers and recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Previous experience in food production, packaging, warehouse operations, retail, restaurants, bakeries, confectionery, manufacturing, or logistics is advantageous but not required.
