Our core values are the foundation that make us successful for ourselves, our customers and the planet. **Job Description** **Albemarle** is hiring a Press Filter Operator in La Negra, Antofagasta, on a 4x4 shift schedule. **What You’ll Do** * Obtain, record, and interpret slurry data—such as solids percentage and flow—according to plant load, using adjustment spreadsheets or HMI. * Operate press filters according to plant operational variables, recipe adherence, and individual filter parameters, achieving optimal performance based on slurry data. * Verify and ensure proper operation of the filter system—including pumps, conveyor belts, and sludge truck loading—by monitoring key parameters and identifying deviations and/or process threats. * Actively participate in developing SOPs and Operational–Safety improvements based on your field observations, as well as in necessary training and specialization programs to properly perform your duties. * Actively serve as an agent of change in implementing and monitoring Albemarle’s ONE operational model. **What You Bring** **Required** * Technical professional degree * Class B driver’s license (desirable) * Minimum 3 years of experience **Desirable** * Chemical Plant Operator course (desirable) * Larox Filter course * Basic knowledge of chemistry applied to production processes Preferred * Achievement orientation * Conceptual thinking * Flexibility * Organizational commitment * Teamwork and cooperation **“Albemarle is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified candidates will be considered for employment regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
