Operations Manager - Mining Food Services - ATACAMA

A leading service company for the mining industry (food services, cleaning, and hospitality) is seeking a "MINING CONTRACT MANAGER" with proven experience successfully managing service contracts in mining sites/operations. The primary objective of this role is to build a close and sustainable business relationship with the client to ensure long-term customer loyalty and achieve financial, commercial, and service-level objectives of the contract under their responsibility, while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and people management standards. **Main Responsibilities:** · Build close and trustworthy relationships with clients, ensuring understanding and satisfaction of their requirements and priorities through excellent service, innovation, and collaborative work. · Supervise service delivery results and quality at facilities according to procedures and quality standards. · Monitor financial procedures and controls within contracts under their responsibility. · Identify improvement opportunities, innovations, and new business opportunities within existing contracts. · Lead and provide continuous support to administrators reporting to them, modeling effective leadership practices and providing necessary support for timely and efficient responses. · Guide, support, and motivate their team to carry out committed and effective actions toward achieving results. **Education Requirements:** · Professional degree in Industrial Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, preferably with specialization in business management, operations, services, or similar. **Years of Experience:** Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a similar role within service provider companies for the mining industry, specifically in food services, cleaning, and hospitality. **Technical Skills and Other Requirements:** · Strong external customer orientation and results focus. · In-depth knowledge of the mining industry, labor legislation, safety regulations, and management control systems. · Medical fitness to work at high altitudes (valid Height Medical Certificate). · Experience leading large teams; over 500 workers. · Proven experience conducting collective labor negotiations. · Willingness and availability to travel.
