Labor Relations Manager - Atex Resources

For ATEX Resources Inc., a mining exploration company headquartered in Toronto with presence in Latin America, we are seeking a Labor Relations Manager for a key and strategic role in its Vallenar project. Currently, ATEX Resources is developing the Valeriano gold and copper project, located in north-central Chile within the strategic Link Belt, one of the richest regions in copper and gold deposits. **About the Role:** As Labor Relations Manager, you will report directly to Human Resources Management and will be responsible for leading the strategy and execution of labor management at the project, ensuring strict compliance with Chilean legislation and internal policies. In this key role, you will be the primary ally for operational leaders on site, actively supporting them as a true business partner. Your work will focus on providing expert guidance and support on labor relations, discipline, regulations, and people management, contributing to operational continuity and the development of an inclusive, respectful, and discrimination-free work environment. **Responsibilities:** * On-site Support: Provide direct and timely advice to operational leaders and on-site teams, acting as a true business partner in people management. Offer guidance on legal, labor, and human relations matters, supporting decision-making and resolving complex situations with a preventive approach aligned with business objectives. * Ensure Legal Compliance: Guarantee the correct application of current labor regulations and the company’s internal policies. * Conflict Management and Prevention: Lead the prevention and resolution of labor conflicts (individual or collective), always promoting dialogue and respect. * Documentation and Contractors: Ensure proper labor documentation and supervise labor aspects related to contractors. * Culture and Work Environment: Support the implementation of workplace coexistence policies, harassment prevention, gender equity, and diversity. Monitor the work environment to anticipate risks and propose preventive actions that strengthen the company's ethical culture. * Well-being: Promote initiatives to improve worker well-being on site (accommodation, food, among others). **What We Are Looking For:** * Education: Professional degree in Law, Business Administration, Human Resources Engineering, or related field. Preferably with specialization or diploma in Labor Relations. * Experience: At least 5 years in labor relations management roles, ideally in the mining, energy, or industrial sector, with proven experience working on site or in field operations. * Key Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Chilean labor legislation and its practical application, experience in mediation, conflict resolution, labor legal documentation control, and understanding of psychosocial risks. * Languages: Intermediate to advanced English (oral and written) is a plus. * Competencies: * Leadership: Ability to positively influence and make firm decisions with organizational sensitivity. * Conflict Resolution: Skill in mediating and fairly resolving complex situations. * Communication: Active listening, clarity when handling sensitive topics, and negotiation ability. * Autonomy and Proactivity: Ability to identify risks and act with foresight. * Integrity: High ethical standards, confidentiality, and respect for individuals. **Benefits:** * Complementary health and dental insurance. * Opportunity to be part of a high-impact project in the mining sector. * Professional development in a dynamic and challenging environment. * Support from global leaders in mining investment. **Conditions:** **Location:** The job is on-site with a shift-based system.
