The role requires proven experience in the construction of **at least three copper concentrator plants**, participating from **Detailed Engineering, Construction Execution through to Commissioning**, guaranteeing high standards of productivity, constructability and operational excellence. **Responsibilities:** * **Participation in Detailed Engineering** + Integrate **constructability** into detailed engineering development, identifying execution risks, interferences and construction sequences. + Review and validate designs to facilitate prefabrication, modularization, accessibility and safety during assembly. + Align engineering deliverables with construction strategy and work packages (CWP/IWP). * **Planning and Management** + Define comprehensive execution strategy, construction methodologies and assembly sequence. + Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Pre-commissioning and Operations from early stages. + Promote the use of digital technologies (BIM 4D, AWP, digital twin). * **Construction Execution** + Lead **on-site construction** across all disciplines: civil works, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation. + Ensure implementation of HSEC standards and the 'zero incident' culture. + Monitor physical progress, labor productivity and contractor performance. + Guarantee compliance with key execution milestones: mechanical completion, hydrotests, energization, pre-commissioning and commissioning. * **Leadership and Teams** + Manage multidisciplinary teams of over 1,000 personnel including direct employees and contractors. + Foster a culture of safety, discipline and high performance. * **Cost and Schedule Control** + Manage construction budgets exceeding $500M USD. + Monitor KPIs for progress, productivity and costs, implementing timely corrective actions. * **Stakeholder Relations** + Serve as primary liaison with client, EPC/EPCM contractors and regulatory authorities. + Manage relationships with communities and unions. **Requirements:*** **Education:** Civil Engineer (Civil Works, Mechanical, Electrical or related field). * **Experience:** + Minimum 20 years of experience in industrial and mining projects. + Over 10 years in on-site leadership roles (Superintendence / Management). + Proven experience in the construction of **at least 3 copper concentrator plants** (over 100 ktpd each), **participating from Detailed Engineering, Construction Execution through to Commissioning**. * **Technical Knowledge:** + Project management methodologies (PMI, Lean Construction, OpEx, AWP). + Local regulations (NCC\-24, DS\-10, Chilean safety and environmental regulations). Planning and control software: Primavera P6, Synchro 4D, Aconex, SharePoint. + * **Soft Skills:** + Leadership and motivation of large and diverse teams. + Negotiation and conflict resolution skills. + Results orientation and ability to work under pressure. **Key Competencies:** * Strategic and operational leadership in **Detailed Engineering and Construction Execution**. * Excellence in safety and HSEC management. * Ability to integrate constructability in early stages and implement it on site. * Global vision of large-scale mining projects. * Innovation in construction methods and productivity.
