This position will be based at our Quebrada Blanca site on a 4x3 day shift schedule. **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Be a courageous safety leader, promoting safe work practices while complying with safety and environmental rules and procedures. * Integrate and consolidate TMF short-term, monthly, and medium-term planning, ensuring consistency among operations, construction, and maintenance. * Coordinate with various departments (operations, geotechnical, engineering, environment, contracts, maintenance) to align activities and priorities. * Identify and manage interferences among construction activities, hydraulic deposition, operational projects, and water resource management, ensuring timely resolution. * Ensure that construction works (comprehensive embankment growth and hydraulic infrastructure) are executed in coordination with operations. * Coordinate operational windows for work execution without disrupting the tailings system’s continuity. * Monitor physical progress of activities against the plan, identify deviations, and manage corrective action plans. * Ensure incorporation of geotechnical, hydraulic, and operational constraints into planning. * Coordinate availability of required resources (equipment, materials, contracts) for plan execution. * Generate and consolidate integrated planning reports (plan vs. actual, milestones, deviations). * Facilitate multidisciplinary coordination forums (weekly meetings and integrated planning). * Provide reliable and timely information for operational and strategic decision-making. **Requirements** -------------- * Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. * Minimum 8 years of experience in tailings dam operations and management. * Minimum 8 years of experience in planning, scheduling, and control of projects or operations. * Knowledge of tailings dam planning, project control, and mining operations. * Project management certification (PMI or equivalent) is desirable. * Familiarity with project planning and control tools (MS Project, Primavera P6, Last Planner, Lookahead). * Interface and operational risk management. * Foundational knowledge of geotechnical and hydraulic principles applied to tailings. * Advanced Excel proficiency and analytical tools (Power BI is desirable). * Intermediate\-advanced English is desirable. * Valid Class B driver’s license. * Willingness to work at the Quebrada Blanca site in the Tarapacá Region at 4,400 meters above sea level on a 4x3 day shift schedule. **About Teck** At Teck, we value diversity.
