Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, the **Electrical Technician IV – Port and Desalination Plant** will be responsible for executing maintenance plans for electrical equipment across desalination plant processes, filter press plant, shipping systems, and pumping stations—applying high standards of safety and operational discipline through collaborative and integrated work within the Maintenance and Operations area. The position will be based at Puerto Patache in the Tarapacá Region, operating on a 7x7 day/night shift schedule. **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Be a courageous safety leader, complying with and championing safety and environmental rules and procedures. * Execute scheduled maintenance plans (daily and weekly) and respond to unscheduled maintenance (emergencies) per the Supervisor’s instructions. * Participate in regular inspections of contracted work during execution to provide feedback and demand corrective actions for deviations. * Communicate to the supervisor short- and long-term equipment and maintenance requirements. * Operate mobile maneuvering and lifting equipment. * Operate medium-voltage electrical systems and equipment. * Raise alerts regarding stockouts of critical spare parts. * Complete work orders accurately. * Identify opportunities for improvement in processes and systems, and escalate them using QB’s Continuous Improvement framework. **Requirements** -------------- * Diploma as a Higher-Level Technician in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Industrial Automation and Control. * Minimum 2 years’ experience in Electrical Maintenance within Metallic and Non-Metallic Mining, Pulp, Paper, or 5 years’ experience in general industry, power generation and distribution companies. * Experience operating low- and medium-voltage electrical equipment. * Experience maintaining LV/MV equipment and VFDs. * Desired experience in ports and desalination plants. * Mandatory valid Class B driver’s license. * Availability to work at Puerto Patache on a 7x7 day/night shift schedule.
