The main objective of the Minera Doña Inés de Collahuasi project is to increase concentrator processing capacity, from an average capacity of 170 ktpd to 210 ktpd. Currently, the awarded service corresponds to the execution of Package PG1 \-the first of three packages planned for this project\-, which involves detailed engineering and procurement (EP) for six flotation cells, and field support during the construction phase. The service for package PG1 started on August 1, 2023, continuing from the study phase (FEL3\), and is expected to be completed by February 2025\. **Position Summary:** ----------------------- This role will be responsible for working with the project team to prepare schedule data in support of project implementation. Apply established unit labor hours and pricing data, perform schedule integrations, prepare work logic, identify constraints and potential impacts, develop recovery plans, and evaluate subcontractor schedules for improvement. This role will be critical in ensuring projects stay on track and on schedule. **Key Responsibilities:** ---------------------------------- * Review design scope criteria and quantities. Perform in-depth analysis to identify schedule impacts and coordinate with the project to develop additional estimating bases when information is incomplete. * Review the Contractor’s Master Schedule to ensure client expectations are met. Identify schedule risks and recommend mitigation and action plans to management. * Provide recommendations to the client on action plans to mitigate schedule risks and conduct schedule gap analysis. * Contribute to maintenance, enhancement, integration, and major updates of Client Development and execution of the master schedule. * Coordinate the work scope of all entities in the plan. Conduct reviews of project scope in schedules including establishing conceptual scope for schedule studies. * Establish milestones for the entire project or key parts of the project. Review work activities to ensure milestone support. Coordinate timely, systematic, and complete acquisition of scope definition and related data. * Examine work logic of organizations and units to ensure schedules support the project schedule. Plan, coordinate, and establish quantification levels based on project objectives and scope, and assign benchmark tasks for data sources or quantity reconciliation. * Plan, organize, and supervise resource loading and scheduling. Coordinate bulk material release and installation curves, integrating labor requirements by specialty according to project objectives. Define personnel quantities and staffing levels to meet project needs and strategies. * Collect scheduling information from each discipline and specific constraints affecting the overall timeline. Coordinate with various departments to clarify time requirements, integrate all relevant activities, and identify potential challenges arising from limitations or interfaces between disciplines. * Verify consistency with previous reports and issue required reports. Compile and update historical scheduling data. Monitor critical path and schedule performance. Prepare the Schedule Impact Report. Lead development and review of recovery plans, evaluating necessary resources and costs. **Requirements: Education and Experience:** ---------------------------------------- * Requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Project Controls with emphasis on planning and scheduling; or 13 years of professional experience in lieu of a degree. **Required Knowledge and Skills:** ------------------------------------------- * Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, including the development, control, and analysis of schedules, both in the field and at headquarters. * Advanced experience in Primavera P6\ is required. * Proficiency with PC operating systems and competence in multiple basic software applications.
