Our core values are the foundation that make us successful for ourselves, our customers and the planet. **Job Description** * **Albemarle** is hiring an Environmental Specialist for Salar de Atacama, located in the Antofagasta region, on a 4x3 shift. **What You’ll Do** * Manage contractor companies (reviewing startup documentation, Environmental Management Program). This task includes participation in the monthly contractor company meeting and conducting audits of the EMP). established (permits, authorizations, etc.). * Monitor environmental findings (inspections, follow-up on corrective actions, and ensuring closure). * Review incidents (RBI incident investigations, follow-up on corrective actions, and ensuring incident closure). * Supervise laboratory (Riles), maintenance, plants (potash, drying, carnallite, leaching, removal and recovery), hydrogeology, and warehouse (supporting departments in environmental activities, closing their findings, etc.). * Review departmental procedures (each department must have its processes documented; each procedure must be reviewed and approved by Health, Safety and Environment). * Conduct field verification of environmental regulatory compliance related to permits and regulations applicable to operations and EECCs. **What You Bring** **Required:** * University degree in Environmental Engineering or a closely related higher education discipline. * Class B driver’s license. * Operational proficiency in SAP, Office, and Project (not mandatory). * 1–3 years of relevant experience. 3–5 years of total experience. * Preferred: * Results orientation * Organizational commitment * Community relationship development **“Albemarle is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified candidates will be considered for employment regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
