This includes the design of conveyance structures (channels, pipes and fittings), resolution of interferences, and collaboration in defining operational modes. At least 2 years of experience in analytical hydraulic calculations and software usage. Minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience in mining. Must possess a valid driver's license. Experience in hydrometallurgical plants is desirable. Alternatively, a Mechanical or Hydraulic Execution Engineer with at least 6 years of experience may apply, with demonstrable knowledge in specific topics such as hydraulic systems design, pumping systems, piping, maintenance, inspection, or related projects. Minimum of 3 years of experience in analytical hydraulic calculations and software usage. At least 1 year of verifiable experience in mining. Must possess a valid driver's license. Experience in hydrometallurgical plants is desirable. Theoretical and practical knowledge of SAP PM or similar system is required. User level proficiency. Thank you.** **Requirements** The responsibilities of the hydraulic engineer include: * Managing fluid flow and control, applying fluid mechanics theories and principles to address issues related to storage, collection, transportation, control, regulation, etc. Assisting in creating concepts and designing structures to support assigned purposes. Typically uses software related to hydrological modeling and data analysis to facilitate work. * Ensuring all designed hydraulic systems and structures comply with government regulations and that quality standards are maintained at optimal levels. * Studying and analyzing details contained in survey reports and other data including geological or topographical information, paying close attention to details in drawings, maps, and related documents. * Preparing approximate cost estimates including equipment, materials, and labor costs required to complete the project within the established timeframe. * Participating in structural design and advising subordinate team members on necessary changes, communicating them to senior staff. * Ensuring all project specifications have been met and all safety and sanitation measures have been addressed. * Identifying technical or other issues, resolving them, and preparing related reports concerning various proposals, documents, etc. * Absolute adherence to the SOMA maintenance management methodology and system. * Absolute adherence to SAP usage for maintenance administration. * Leading and advising inspection personnel on technical details associated with hydraulic systems. * Development, design, and uploading into SAP of matrix plans for pumping, re-pumping, and booster systems. * Designing modifications and managing change processes for pumping systems. * Developing continuous improvement reports for hydraulic pumping systems. * Preparing RfPs (Request for Proposals) related to hydraulics and participating in other RfPs as required by job functions. * Other duties associated with the position. **Additional Information** Work Location: Calama, Chile.
