The JUNJI requires hiring an **Early Childhood Education Technician for Extended Hours**, Grade 24° E.U.S., working 22 hours per week, for the commune of Antofagasta, Antofagasta Region.
The position’s mission is to participate in children’s learning processes, safeguarding the holistic well-being of young children jointly with their families and communities, and generating high-quality, relevant, and meaningful learning experiences for children.

**II. General / Specific Requirements**
*General Requirements*
Applicants must meet the following requirements established in Article No. 12 of DFL No. 29 of Law No. 18,834 on the Administrative Statute, which states that to enter the Public Administration it is necessary:
* To be a Chilean citizen or a foreigner holding a residence permit. (Law 21325, Art. 175 No. 5, Official Gazette, 20.04.2021).
* To have complied with recruitment and mobilization laws, where applicable;
* To possess health compatible with performing the duties of the position;
* To have completed basic education and hold the educational level or professional/technical degree required by law for the nature of the job. For positions governed by this law requiring a secondary education diploma, persons with disabilities aged 18 or older who provide evidence of having completed studies under special education modalities shall be deemed to meet this requirement. All of the above in accordance with Supreme Decree No. 83, 2015, issued by the Ministry of Education, approving criteria and guidelines for curricular adaptation for students with special educational needs in early childhood and basic education, or subsequent regulations replacing it. (Law 21690, Art. 2° No. 1, Official Gazette, 24.08.2024).
* Not to have been dismissed from a public office due to receiving an unsatisfactory performance evaluation or as a disciplinary measure, unless more than five years have elapsed since the termination date of functions. However, as stipulated in Article 121 of this Statute, compliance with said time limit shall not be required when so determined by the respective prosecutor. (Law 21643, Art. 3 No. 1, Official Gazette, 15.01.2024).
* Not to be disqualified from holding public office or functions, nor convicted of a crime carrying a penalty of felony or misdemeanor. Without prejudice to the foregoing, regarding access to auxiliary or administrative positions, conviction for an offense carrying a misdemeanor penalty shall not constitute an impediment to appointment, provided it is not among those specified in Title V, Book II, of the Penal Code. (Law 20702, Art. 1, Official Gazette, 15.10.2013).
*Specific Requirements*
* A Medium- or Higher-Level Technical Degree in Early Childhood Education awarded by a State Higher Education Institution or recognized by the Ministry of Education, or validated in Chile under current legislation.
