About the Role **Ankara Otokent Automotive and Commercial Group** is seeking a **Software Architecture Engineer** to join our team in **Cauquenes, Maule Region**. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and evolving the architecture of our applications and platforms, defining technical standards, integration patterns, and guidelines that enable the development of secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions. You will work closely with **development, infrastructure, product, data, security, and operations teams** to translate business requirements into clear and sustainable architectural decisions. Key Responsibilities * Design software architectures for new solutions and the evolution of existing systems. * Define design patterns, technical standards, and architectural principles. * Evaluate technologies, frameworks, and platforms prior to adoption. * Design integrations among applications, APIs, and third-party services. * Define strategies for scalability, availability, and resilience. * Participate in cloud and infrastructure-related decisions. * Design microservice-based architectures where appropriate. * Review technical proposals and support development decisions. * Collaborate with security teams to embed controls from the design phase. * Identify technical risks and technology debt. * Prepare architecture diagrams, documentation, and guidelines. * Support API definition and integration contracts. * Participate in code and technical design reviews. * Collaborate on application modernization initiatives. * Support CI/CD, DevOps, and automation processes. * Evaluate performance and propose architectural improvements. * Mentor developers and engineers as needed. * Perform other duties related to software architecture and engineering. Requirements * **5–8 years of experience** in software development, systems architecture, or software engineering. * Prior experience as a **Software Architecture Engineer, Software Architect, Software Architect, Lead Software Engineer**, or similar role. * Solid backend experience with technologies such as **Java, .NET, Node.js, Python**, or equivalents. * Knowledge of microservice architecture and distributed systems. * Experience designing and consuming **REST APIs**. * Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases. * Experience with **AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform**. * Knowledge of containers and tools such as **Docker**. * Experience with version control using **Git**. * Strong understanding of design patterns and SOLID principles. * Ability to document architectural decisions. * Strong communication and technical leadership skills. * Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Desirable Qualifications * Professional degree in **Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science**, or a related field. * Experience with **Kubernetes**. * Knowledge of event-driven architectures. * Experience with messaging and queuing systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ. * Understanding of observability, monitoring, and logging. * Experience with infrastructure-as-code. * Knowledge of application security and OWASP principles. * Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices. * Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design. * Experience modernizing legacy systems. * Intermediate or advanced English proficiency is valued.
