Extensive experience with Next.js 15, React, TypeScript, and AWS Amplify. A prominent construction company requires a Senior Frontend Developer (Next.js) for its team, with a hybrid work modality. Description: The main responsibilities of this role include: • Design, implement/program, and monitor optimal frontend solutions aligned with specified requirements and delivered within agreed timelines. • Collaborate with the team in developing innovative digital products. • Code according to provided technical specifications, ensuring correct system functionality—including system-to-system communication, visual component integration, database queries, API integrations, and/or other relevant aspects. • Provide continuous feedback regarding Altera’s products, services, and platforms, suggesting modifications as necessary. • Document deliverables for all projects, developments, or changes executed within the Development and Innovation area. • Ensure consistency and alignment of work with project definitions, planning, and timelines. • Demonstrate flexibility and ability to reorganize tasks and project development based on priorities defined by management. • Periodically and as required, report progress status of developments across all assigned projects to management. • Ensure backup, access, and delivery of all developments and documentation generated in the course of duties to management, as appropriate. Requirements: • Minimum 3 years of experience in similar roles within digital product development environments, specifically as a Frontend Developer. • Must interact effectively with team members and, when needed, with internal/external clients to better understand project requirements. General Knowledge • Primary Framework: Expertise in Next.js 15 • Core Stack: React and TypeScript. • Cloud: Management and deployment via AWS Amplify. • DevOps: Bitbucket Pipelines and AWS Parameter Store. • Testing: Familiarity with Selenium, Cucumber, and JUnit for QA stack integration. • Methodologies: Scrum / Kanban, Jira or equivalent. Specific Knowledge • Styling: Tailwind CSS, CSS Modules, or Styled Components. • Component Libraries: shadcn/ui, Radix UI, or Material UI. • State Management: Zustand, Redux Toolkit, or Context API as appropriate. • Data Fetching: TanStack Query (React Query) or SWR; caching and revalidation handling in Next.js. • Frontend Unit Testing: Jest + React Testing Library or Vitest. Selenium/Cucumber/JUnit are primarily used for QA E2E; unit and component-level testing is required. • Modern E2E Testing: Playwright or Cypress (complement or replace Selenium in modern JS stacks). • Forms & Validation: React Hook Form + Zod or Yup. • Authentication: NextAuth.js / Auth.js, integrated with Cognito. • Performance: Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse, image optimization (next/image), code splitting, bundle analysis. • Accessibility (a11y): WCAG 2.1, ARIA, keyboard navigation. • Technical SEO: Next 15 metadata API, sitemap, Open Graph. • Next.js 15-Specific Patterns: RSC (React Server Components), Server Actions, streaming, parallel/intercepting routes, middleware. • Package Managers & Monorepos: pnpm, Turborepo, or Nx. • Code Quality: ESLint, Prettier, Husky, conventional commits. • UI Documentation: Storybook. • Frontend Observability: Sentry or equivalent, analytics (GA4, PostHog).
