Therefore, Albemarle is seeking a **Compliance Specialist – Investigations** to support our own operations and joint ventures in **Chile, Argentina, and Brazil, based in offices in Santiago, Chile, under a hybrid work schedule.** The **Compliance Specialist – Investigations** will lead corporate ethics and compliance investigations in the **Latin America** region (primarily Chile and Argentina) and provide support for global investigations. This role is responsible for managing the **entire lifecycle of investigations**, ensuring alignment with Albemarle’s global investigation standards and contributing to the strengthening of the company’s **ethics \& compliance program**. In addition to case management, the specialist will support regional compliance initiatives, help strengthen compliance controls, and serve as a trusted advisor to employees and business leaders on ethics and compliance matters. Success in this role requires **strong analytical and investigative capabilities, excellent judgment, and the ability to operate effectively in a complex, multicultural, and dynamic regulatory environment**. **Key Responsibilities** **Investigation Management** ------------------------------ * Lead and conduct ethics and compliance investigations in the region, including planning, interviews, evidence review, documentation, and drafting investigation reports. * Ensure investigations are conducted in accordance with Albemarle’s procedures and standards. * Ensure stakeholders are notified and kept informed throughout the investigation lifecycle. * Conduct root cause analysis and collaborate with business units to implement corrective and preventive actions. * Administer the case management system, ensuring proper intake, classification, documentation, and closure of cases. * Identify trends, patterns, and systemic issues detected through investigations. * Provide ad\-hoc support for global investigations. **Program Support and Reporting** -------------------------------------- * Support the **Regional Compliance Manager (Latin America)** in implementing, monitoring, and improving the ethics \& compliance program. * Contribute to periodic ethics \& compliance reports for senior leadership and the Board of Directors, including metrics, trends, and investigation summaries. * Support the development and monitoring of compliance controls and remediation plans. **Risk Assessment and Audit Support** ---------------------------------------------- * Participate in regional compliance risk assessments, using investigation insights to support risk evaluation and mitigation. * Collaborate with **Internal Audit** during internal or external compliance audits, including document preparation, scope definition, and action follow\-up. **Communications, Training, and Awareness** -------------------------------------------------- * Deliver targeted training related to investigations, misconduct reporting, and compliance policies. * Draft and update investigation\-related procedures and communication materials, including compliance expectations. * Support awareness campaigns promoting an ethical culture, reporting mechanisms, and case management standards. **Minimum Qualifications** ====================== * Bachelor’s degree required in Law or Accounting/Auditing. * **Minimum 5 years of experience** in corporate investigation roles within a multinational corporation, audit firm, or consulting firm. * Experience preparing compliance communications and delivering training. * Experience designing, implementing, and monitoring compliance controls. * **Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
