




Wood is looking for a Cost Estimator with at least 5 years of experience in chemical or petrochemical industry projects, to join our Renewable Energies and Processes business line. The position will be based at our client's technical office in Concepción, Chile, combined with Wood offices. It will take all of us working together to deliver solutions to the world’s most critical challenges. * Civil Engineer or related discipline * At least 5 years of experience estimating costs in engineering projects * Availability to work in Concepción * Experience with EPC and EPCM contracts * Availability and field experience * Availability for 100% on-site work * Estimated contract duration of 2 years * Development of investment cost estimation using AACE cost system: Class 1 to Class 5, across different project stages. * Preparation of control budgets. * Preparation of cost summaries, including unit price analysis and overheads. * Quantification, preparation and measurement of Bill of Quantities. * Management of historical databases for items, materials, labor and equipment. * Review and analysis of economic bids. * Development of CAPEX Class 3 (AACE) estimation bases. * Development and maintenance of historical costs. * Ex-post analysis of project cost variations and updating of lessons learned
