As Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of laboratory operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This position requires an analytical, detail-oriented professional who can lead a team of scientists and technicians while driving innovation and maintaining customer focus. * Manage and coordinate all laboratory operations, including sample preparation, testing, and analysis. * Ensure compliance with quality management systems, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. * Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize laboratory efficiency. * Supervise maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment and instruments. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support research and development initiatives. * Analyze and interpret complex data, preparing comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders. * Manage laboratory budget and resources, including personnel, equipment, and supplies. * Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the laboratory. * Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and address their inquiries and concerns. * Mentor and develop laboratory staff, providing guidance and performance evaluations. * Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance laboratory capabilities. **Requirements** * Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred. * Minimum of 5 years of laboratory management experience, preferably in a chemical or metallurgical environment. * Proven track record of leadership and team management in a laboratory setting. * Strong analytical skills with expertise in data analysis and interpretation. * Advanced knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, and safety protocols. * Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. * Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate effectively across departments. * Proficiency in quality management systems and statistical process control. * Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and advanced knowledge of Excel. * Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, ASTM). * Valid driver's license. * Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. **Additional Information** We offer * Life insurance from the moment of joining the organization. * Special leave allowances. * Benefits through Caja los Andes and associated agreements. * Ongoing training opportunities.
