We consider inclusion and diversity fundamental to meeting present and future challenges.*** **ARAUCO** is seeking professionals with a degree in **Forestry Engineering**, with experience in planning and/or harvesting, to work as **Planning Engineers** for our **Forestry Business** in the **Valdivia Zone.** **What is the main objective of this position?** Manage the harvesting and thinning project portfolio for operational supply, drive the annual road construction program, and ensure supply availability while complying with all administrative requirements and permits. **What will you do?** * Manage harvesting project loading according to Tactical Supply requirements, incorporating thinning and fire prevention infrastructure planning, coordinated with FASA prescriptions. * Prepare and deliver the pre-survey program to service companies, ensuring timeliness and alignment with operational planning. * Lead the enabling dialogue and manage the road construction project portfolio, ensuring compliance with availability KPIs and monitoring associated administrative permits. * Actively participate in scheduling dialogues and manage operational procedures SOP 508 and SOP 516, ensuring their correct application. * Monitor and control harvesting deadlines on non-FASA properties—such as agreements, leases, or ABP—ensuring compliance with contractual conditions. * Maintain control over harvesting deadlines in areas or properties subject to specific technical or environmental constraints (e.g., transition zones, water-producing watersheds, erosion risk, landscape, visibility), ensuring compliance with regulations and sound forestry practices. **What do you need to apply?** * Professional degree in Forestry Engineering (mandatory). * At least 1 year of experience in planning and/or harvesting. * Class B driver’s license (mandatory). * Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (mandatory); ArcGIS Pro preferred. * Proficiency in MS Office (Intermediate Excel). **What do we offer?** * Opportunities for technical development and learning within the company. * Join a team focused on operational excellence and safety. * Job stability and benefits at a leading forestry industry company. ***At ARAUCO, we work daily to develop renewable forest products that improve people’s lives—a mission that challenges us to build committed, enthusiastic, and creative teams.
