The purpose of this role is to comprehensively lead the factory’s quality assurance and food safety functions, ensuring compliance with applicable internal, regulatory, and export standards governing plant production. The position will be responsible for leading and developing the Quality, Food Safety, and laboratory team; consolidating sustainable process improvements; and strengthening an organization-wide quality culture. We seek a transformational profile with solid technical expertise, people leadership experience, and the ability to influence operational teams and internal and external stakeholders. **A Day in the Life of…** * Lead the factory’s quality assurance and food safety system, ensuring compliance with ISO 22000, HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). * Lead, develop, and support the Quality, Food Safety, and laboratory team, promoting autonomy, coaching, performance, and continuous improvement. * Drive continuous improvement of quality processes, focusing on first-time release, deviation prevention, and sustainability of implemented improvements. * Manage audits, sanitary authorizations, and processes related to export authorization, maintaining effective relationships with competent authorities. * Ensure proper management of industrial hygiene and cleaning routines, including CIP and COP systems, in coordination with operational areas. * Manage quality information, indicators, and processes using digital tools and ERP systems such as SAP. * Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Supply Chain, Technical Area, Factory Engineering, and the factory’s leadership team to ensure decisions align with quality and food safety standards. * Represent the factory to market stakeholders and international teams, communicating technical information and participating in strategic meetings. **What Will Make You Successful** * Hold a professional degree relevant to quality assurance in the food industry, such as Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related disciplines. * Have at least 5 years’ experience leading quality assurance teams in the food industry or laboratories serving the food sector. * Demonstrate proven experience in leading and developing Quality, Food Safety, and/or laboratory teams. * Possess experience in sanitary authorization processes, export procedures, and interaction with authorities such as health services and the Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG). * Have an advanced/communicative level of English (B2 or higher, mandatory). * Demonstrate strong and transformational leadership, coaching skills, people development capabilities, and the ability to build effective interpersonal relationships. * Exhibit a continuous improvement mindset, autonomy, results orientation, and the ability to make decisions in demanding operational contexts. * Be available to work 100% on-site at the Los Ángeles Factory. **Diversity and Inclusion at Nestlé** At Nestlé, we believe diversity is a driver that enriches our teams and strengthens our culture.
