We consider inclusion and diversity fundamental to meeting present and future challenges******.*** ARAUCO is seeking a **Preventive Mechanical Maintenance Technician** to join our **Valdivia Timber Complex**, located in the commune of **San José de la Mariquina**. We seek candidates holding a **higher-level technical degree in Mechanics, Industrial Maintenance, and/or Electromechanics**, with at least **3 years of experience** in mechanical maintenance within the industrial sector; alternatively, a **mid-level technical qualification in Mechanical Maintenance or Industrial Mechanics**, with **5 years of experience** in industrial maintenance. **General Objective** * Execute preventive, corrective, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks generated from the weekly schedule, coordinated with process areas, to ensure equipment availability. This must be carried out in accordance with the company’s safety, environmental, and occupational health values and policies. **Main Responsibilities:** * Execute assigned tasks from the weekly schedule, ensuring their quality and safety. * Perform corrective tasks generated during shifts. * Prepare resources in advance for assigned tasks. * Analyze risks and perform all non-scheduled tasks that could affect operations. * Report progress on assigned tasks and deviations from planning. * Actively participate in assigned tasks under the “Impeccable Operations” tool. * Actively participate in generating improvements and/or projects originating in your area. * Report all daily scheduled tasks and contingencies via the maintenance logbook and management board. * Identify risk actions and conditions, propose and implement area improvements. * Conduct risk analysis for your work and prepare procedures, instructions, or safe job analyses for execution. * Maintain control over your assigned machine center. * Periodically assess the effectiveness of plans, suggesting improvements and/or implementations. * Coordinate with machine operators to review failures or failure symptoms. **Requirements:** * Higher-level technical qualification in Mechanics and/or Electromechanics, with at least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience (Mandatory) * Mid-level technical qualification in Mechanics, Industrial Maintenance, Electromechanics, or related fields, with 5 years of industrial maintenance experience (Mandatory) * SAP knowledge (Desirable) * Excel user level (Desirable) * Office user level (Desirable) * Availability to work rotating shift systems (Mandatory) ***At ARAUCO, we work daily to develop renewable forest products that improve people’s lives—a mission that challenges us to build committed, enthusiastic, and creative teams.
