Job Summary: A leading company is seeking an IT Security Engineer to prepare and support security projects, incorporating cybersecurity standards into solution design. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design and propose improvements to information security architecture 2. Administer and operate security solutions to mitigate vulnerabilities 3. Support and advise on compliance with security standards A major mass-consumption company, affiliated with SMU, requires an IT Security Engineer for its Technology Department. The incumbent will be responsible for preparing and supporting security projects and integrating cybersecurity standards into solution design, coordinating with various implementation and operations teams or external vendors, with the objective of contributing to the delivery of best practices and processes—both for medium- and long-term information systems and technological tools design. **Key responsibilities include:** * Continuously design and propose improvements to information security architecture, minimizing technological risks. * Evaluate and participate in defining security requirements for new system implementations. * Design and supervise the implementation of security measures to protect information systems, networks, and data. * Administer and operate security solutions that mitigate system vulnerabilities. * Consistently propose continuous improvement in the operation of security systems. * Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols to support continuity and standardization of work methodologies. * Support and advise on compliance with processes and standards defined in the company’s technological solutions, adopting a holistic security perspective. **Requirements:** * Professional degree from an IT-related field requiring at least eight semesters (mandatory). * Postgraduate diploma in security or cybersecurity, or relevant certification aligned with the position. * Four years of experience leading Security/Cybersecurity projects. * Four years of experience in designing, implementing, and/or administering IT platforms, networks, or cybersecurity systems.
