We seek a professional who has managed supply chain operations in **hardware stores, home improvement chains, industrial distributors, or companies related to construction materials**, and who masters **tendering processes (public and private)** and operations on **corporate procurement portals**. Experience in categories such as **manual and electric tools, fasteners, welding, industrial safety, plumbing, electrical, paints, or general hardware** is an **essential requirement** for this role. **Main Responsibilities:** * Define and implement purchasing strategies for **hardware and industrial categories**, aligned with business commercial and profitability objectives. * Manage the complete procurement cycle: from supplier identification and evaluation to negotiation, contracting, and performance monitoring. * Lead and execute **tendering processes** (Mercado Público, ChileCompra, private tenders, etc.), ensuring regulatory compliance, competitiveness, and efficiency. * Operate and optimize workflows on **corporate procurement portals** (SAP Ariba, Coupa, or other systems used by the client). * Manage international purchases: quotations, Incoterms, global logistics, customs documentation, and coordination with freight forwarders. * Develop strategic relationships with local and international suppliers in the **hardware and industrial sectors**. * Monitor market trends, assess new supply sources, and propose improvements in product range, cost, and quality. * Collaborate closely with sales, logistics, planning, and finance departments to ensure availability, efficient inventory turnover, and no stockouts. * Analyze and manage critical KPIs: category margins, profitability, inventory turnover, stock compliance, and portfolio efficiency. **Requirements:** * University degree in **Business Engineering, International Trade, Business Administration**, or related field. * **Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Commercial Buyer in hardware, industrial distribution, retail with hardware lines, or construction materials companies.** (Experience in this sector: mandatory) * Proven expertise in **tendering processes** (public and/or private) and experience with **procurement portals** (Mercado Público, ChileCompra, SAP Ariba, etc.). * Solid experience in **international purchasing**: imports, global logistics, Incoterms, document management. * Advanced proficiency in **corporate ERP systems, advanced Excel, and data analysis**. * Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, results orientation, and autonomy to make financially impactful decisions. * Excellent **negotiation, communication, and cross-functional teamwork skills**.
