In this context, we are seeking our next **Senior Data Scientist** to join our **Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Analytics Management team** at our corporate office in Las Condes, Santiago. What is the **Purpose of the Role**? Design, develop, validate, and deploy highly complex Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Analytics solutions aligned with the business’s strategic challenges. As part of the Data Science team within the AI & AA Management, you will lead the development of projects in which the team participates. **Main Responsibilities**: * Propose formal approaches to understand and assess problems related to team projects. Conduct literature reviews and propose solutions supported by sound reasoning and analysis. * Perform data collection and exploration, assessing the feasibility of proposed solutions. * Design, implement, and train artificial intelligence models of all complexity levels, along with relevant ad\-hoc solutions for the project. * Clearly present and communicate results and progress to the team and business area counterparts, maintaining a strategic relationship with internal clients. * Ensure the quality, documentation, and maintainability of the team’s codebase. Continuously implement and review software development best practices within the team. * Develop definitions and processes to measure and monitor business-relevant metrics and model performance. **Requirements**: * Degree in Civil or Industrial Mathematics Engineering, Civil or Industrial Computer Engineering, Civil or Industrial Electrical Engineering, Civil or Industrial IT Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Physics (Mandatory). * 4 to 8 years of experience as a Data Scientist or related roles (Mandatory). * Experience handling data and training and implementing Machine Learning / AI models using the Python scientific framework (Mandatory). * Knowledge of software development best practices, code packaging, and codebase maintenance (Mandatory). * Ability to formulate and model engineering-related problems using scientific\-mathematical language (Mandatory). * Advanced English proficiency (Mandatory). * Operational knowledge of databases (Desirable). * Availability to work at ARAUCO's corporate offices in Las Condes, Santiago. ***At ARAUCO, we work every day to develop renewable forest products that improve people's lives—a task that challenges us to build committed, enthusiastic, and creative teams.
