The main objective of Minera Doña Inés de Collahuasi's project is to increase concentrator processing capacity from an average of 170 ktpd to 210 ktpd. Currently, the awarded scope corresponds to the execution of Package PG1 \-the first of three packages planned for this project\-, which includes detailed engineering and procurement (EP) for six flotation cells, and field support during the construction phase. The service for Package PG1 started on August 1, 2023, continuing from the study phase (FEL3\), and is expected to be completed by February 2025\. **Position Summary:** ----------------------- This role will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, availability, and performance of databases within the S3D system, participating in continuous improvement projects and providing specialized technical support. **Key Responsibilities:** ---------------------------------- * Evaluate, select, and apply standard plant design and piping engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria, using independent judgment when making adaptations and modifications. * Plan plant and piping designs and prepare detailed plant and piping designs and drawings for structures (e.g., load sketches and/or orientation and elevation drawings) and portions of main plants. * Examine and analyze piping configurations for compliance with ANSI/ASME codes. * Prepare plant and piping designs and construction drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) 2D / 3D, presentation graphics, and plant design models and codes. * Optimize facility design based on piping and instrumentation diagrams, client requirements, current technology, and operational and maintenance requirements. * Participate in reviews and recommend approval of design drawings and data for compliance with requirements. * Prepare construction material interface details for review by senior staff. * Participate in studies requiring knowledge of commonly used principles and techniques in plant design and piping work. * Optimize facility design based on piping and instrumentation diagrams, client requirements, current technology, and operational and maintenance requirements. * Gain knowledge and use BSAP, SCP, and other software, including questioning results generated by computer programs when outputs appear unreasonable. **Education and Required Experience:** -------------------------------------- The position requires a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields. Minimum of 5 years of experience in relational database management (RDB), preferably in environments using S3D. **Required Knowledge and Skills:** ------------------------------------------- * Strong knowledge in design, implementation, configuration, and optimization of databases in S3D. * Knowledge of relevant standards for generating technical material specifications, e.g., ASME, AWWA, ASTM, DIN, etc. * Ability to perform backup, recovery, preventive, and corrective maintenance tasks on the system. * Ability to identify, resolve, and document incidents related to the RDB. * Proficiency in advanced modeling in S3D.
